PReS-FINAL-2229: Pamidronate in CRMO - a small case series
نویسندگان
چکیده
Introduction Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) is a rare autoinflammatory disorder which affects predominantly girls with peak onset between ages of 7 to 12 years. There is a frequent association of CRMO with inflammatory skin or gut disorders. Patients with isolated CRMO are usually treated with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) prior to escalation to corticoids and disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs such as methotrexate (MTX), sulfasalazine, azathioprine. Recently, TNF inhibitors and bisphosphonates have been recommended for treatment of most severe cases.

Pamidronate treatment in resistant cases of CRMO – our small case series
Introduction Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) is the most common autoinflammatory osteopathy. CRMO is characterized by non-bacterial osteomyelitis and primarily affects children and adolescents. The disorder has a relapsing and remitting course. While non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are used as first-line treatment, glucocorticoids and disease-modifying antirheum...

BACKGROUND Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) is an inflammatory, non-infectious osteopathy that affects predominantly patients </= 18 years of age. There is no uniformly effective treatment. Our objective is to describe clinical, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and bone resorption response to intravenous pamidronate in pediatric CRMO. METHODS We report our prospectively docu...

CRMO is an autoinflammatory disease of children and young adults, characterized by the insidious onset of local pain and swelling in affected bone and fever. The bone lesions are radiologically characterized as multiple luciens surrounded by defined zones of patchy but dense sclerosis, cortical tickening from periosteal new bone formation, and increased bone size with different bones involved. ...

Introduction The syndrome of synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis and osteitis (SAPHO) is a rare autoinflammatory syndrome, affecting essentially the adults. Osteitis with Propionibacterium Acnes (P.Acnes) reported in the literature is generally connected to the presence of a foreign body or with the SAPHO syndrome. Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) is a disease related to ...
